Church Mission
The mission of God’s Remnant of Praise is simple: to glorify God in every aspect of our lives and to equip, encourage, and exhort believers to endure in faith, servanthood, and fellowship.
“And they continued stedfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.” Acts 2:42
What WE Believe
- We believe in one God; God the Father, Son and Holy Ghost, and that these three are one (1 John 5:7-9).
- We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, and that He is God manifest in the flesh (John 1:14, 1 Timothy 3:16). We believe that the Father sent His Son into the world to die for the sins of mankind on the Cross. We believe that God raised-up Christ from the dead, so that whosoever believes in Him and turns from their sins, receives forgiveness of sins according to the promises of God in the Scriptures.
- We believe that the Bible is the inspired and inerrant Word of God (2 Timothy 3:16).
- We believe that salvation is promised to those who believe unto the saving of their souls (Hebrews 10:39) through the rebirth of the Holy Spirit (John 1:13, 3:5, Romans 8:9); that men are not saved by good works, but rather, through becoming a new creature in Jesus Christ.
- We believe that there is salvation in no other than Jesus Christ, for there is no other name under heaven, given among men, whereby we must be saved, than the Name of Jesus Christ, the Son of the Living God (Acts 4:12).
- We believe in holy living for all true believers in Jesus Christ. (Romans 12:1-2, 2 Corinthians 7:1, 1 Peter 1:15-16, 2 Peter 3:11-14, Philippians 4:8)
- We believe in the literal Second Coming of Jesus Christ into the world to Judge the living and the dead (Revelation 22:12).
- We Believe In the Fellowship of Believers
We cherish the power of gathering together as a community of faith. Regular corporate fellowship and communal worship are essential for spiritual growth, encouragement, and accountability.
Hebrews 10:24-25 (Amplified Bible) – “and let us consider [thoughtfully] how we may encourage one another to love and to do good deeds, 25 not forsaking our meeting together [as believers for worship and instruction], as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another; and all the more [faithfully] as you see the day [of Christ’s return] approaching.“
Gathering in the fellowship of believers enables us to:
- Worship the Lord corporately, exalting Him with one voice and one heart.
- Strengthen our faith through shared experiences, testimonies, and teachings from God’s Word.
- Offer support and care for one another, rejoicing in times of celebration and standing together in times of difficulty.
- Pray together, uniting our hearts and interceding for the needs of local believers and beyond.
- Experience the manifest presence of God together.
OUR FOUNDERS
Pastor Mike and Lady Alicia Hadley have been ministers of the gospel for over 15 years. They have also served as senior youth and music ministry leaders for many years.
As speakers, Pastor Mike and Lady Alicia engage their audience with wisdom, humor, and sincerity. Their interactive and thought-provoking approach captivates listeners. Undoubtedly, their godly, yet “down-to-earth,” personalities render an empowering message.
Together, the Hadleys understand the importance of serving and the gift in giving to others. Aside from church leadership, they are committed to serving their local community. For years, they have coached youth soccer and basketball within Southern Maryland. The couple are the founders of the Southern Maryland Cupcakes for Christmas® toy drive and Upward Thrive Academy Inc.; a non-profit human services organization….Click Navigation Bullets
Pastor Mike graduated from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, with a Bachelor of Architecture and a Bachelor of Arts in Illustration degree. Throughout his career, he has grown to love the various aspects of architecture and believes the profession points to a fundamental life lesson; “True success begins with the right foundation.”–Michael Hadley
Lady Alicia holds a Bachelor of Science in Health Science/Physical Therapy from Howard University. She is a skilled graphic designer and writer. She has published several books including “20 Ways to Show More Love,” “My Simple Book of Goals” and “Get Up and Goal” for youth and teens. Her books help to encourage a conqueror’s mentality and stimulate the drive to achieve success.
In their free time, the Hadleys love bonding with their children and extended family.
